Announcing a new project

November 5, 2019

Dr. Charles D. Daniel, M.D. was in the general practice of medicine in Searcy County for more than 50 years, treating and caring for thousands of people. In addition to this role as a caring physician, Dr. Daniel was a leader in numerous civic causes. He was the driving force in the planning and construction of the civic center complex.

In recognition of Dr. Daniel's service to this community and to honor his memory, the Searcy County Quorum Court, on October 14,2019, voted unanimously to name the civic center the "Dr. Charles D. Daniel Civic Center." This name will be mounted on the front of the civic center building, and a bronze memorial plaque will be placed inside the building. No public funds will be used to pay for naming the building. It will be paid for solely by private donations. Dr. Daniel was also an honored member of the leadership of the Marshall Rotary Club, therefore, the Marshall Rotary Club will administer the funds donated for this project
